  • Attended medical school at University of Ilorin in Nigeria, residency at New York Medical College, in the USA and work experience in the UK.
  • At one point was licensed in 3 continents [Africa, USA and UK] at the same time.
  • She has vast experience in emergency room care pediatrics, inpatient care pediatrics, community care pediatrics, neonatal care and primary care pediatrics.
  • Now focuses her care on children, as an urgent care pediatrician, in Brevard County, Florida.
  • Last place of practice was as a civilian contracted primary care pediatrician at Patrick Air Force Base.  
  • Her inspiration for opening this clinic was the numerous children from military families that did not have a pediatric urgent care near to them for easy access at times of most need.
  • She has been taking care of the well, sick and injured for the past 27 years

Christa J. Kovachevich ARNP, CPNP-PC.
  • Christa Kovachevich joined Healthy Minors Pediatric Urgent Care in 2017.
  • She earned her Bachelors in Science of Nursing from Beth-el College of Nursing at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 2000 then went on to earn her Masters in Science of Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2015.
  • Prior to working at Healthy Minors, Major Christa Kovachevich retired from active duty Air Force after 21 years of service in the Nurse Corps, has a combined 25+years nursing experience concentrating the last 17 years in pediatrics.
  • She is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
  • Professional affiliations include active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Red Cross Volunteer, and Brevard County Space Coast Clinicians.


Tara Benavidez, Office Manager.
  • Certified in Medical Assisting, Billing and working towards her bachelors in Healthcare Management. 
  • ​She has 10 years of experience in the medical field and 7 of such years have been in Pediatrics. 
  • She brings to the table a unique style of multitasking like no other. 
  • Known to demonstrate the ability to combine administrative work with medical skills. 
  • As a supervisor of our medical team, she ensures that we stay in shape to be eligible for the training of student medical assistants and nurse practitioner trainees. 
  • ​She goes above and beyond to make sure our staff and patients are comfortable and will go out of her way to get an answer to a question posed to her. 
  • Her kindness and humility are her additional strengths.
